Jesus! Long time no seen. I know. Meanwhile my life goes on, my most precious little daughter is growing up and from time to time there's room for some chords, strummed on strings that has to be tuned.. But I had time to let fix my old Musima Leadstar guitar. The guy from the "Musikladen" in Halle (Saale) changed the hole lot of coils, cables and potis. Now the guitar sounds like a real strat. Or just a bit better. You'll hear it. You may deceide.

Well, at LAST.FM the favourite song of the Da Fuge's listeners is "The Last Day Of Summer", a cover version of The Cure's great song taken from the BLOODFLOWERS album. On second position it's BABBLE, another The Cure cover version. As it seems, Robert Smith is leading my charts with four songs out of ten. Amazing. Congratulations!

Waiting For The Star To Rise.

Over the last weeks I recorded some tracks called "Waiting For The Star To Rise", "Lips So Pale", "Longing For The Haze" and "Superchamp". I am still about finishing the "While I Was Waiting.."- album but so much has changed.. I travel a lot, there's lots to do at work. I need time. For christ sake.

And also this week I closed the work on the "Dis-Covery"-album. The last song I added was "The Good Soldier", a cover version taken from the Nine Inch Nails album "YEAR ZERO". The whole album is available at last.fm for free downloading. Enjoy!

my dear listeners, i hope all of you had a good landing in the year 2009. mine was accompanied by some sort of big-band-like jazz music, played by the incredible Tom Gaebel and Diana Krall. since this sound emanates it's twinkles into my own work some changes happened. some small changes but i think the effect will be as clear as visible, so to say. otherwise a Roland JV-80 synthie will lay a bit more gravity at the background of the songs from now on. the first recordings showed good results. now i have to decide which ideas will be the chosen ones for the next "collection of tracks". i let you know. and hear. peace and love!

at the moment i have got about ten new songs which all are more or less ideas for the next publications. may be i'm trying too hard to produce new songs in a different way of writing the lyrics and getting melodies influenced by the music i am listening to over, let's say, the last two months. i don't want to tempt my fate in musical manners. i think it takes a little more time. don't know how long. we'll see. you'll see. you'll hear. for my money: i take my time. cheers!

i am still working hard on the new compilation of songs. i have already recorded some songs but i'm still about collecting ideas. i think it will take some time to see how the world according to me changed the last months after the "next stop: life." album was finished. the difficulty is to reflect this on the spot. there are inspirations of getting more warmer and deeper with a "carpet of sound" for which i use an old Yamaha keyboard. but don't think the sound is getting synthetic, it's still me and my guitars. love and peace!

i'm gathering new ideas and material for the next album. the "next stop: life." album was more the musical frame of a relationship than any other compilation i gathered songs for. with a sudden stab the story ended, so i have to discover other possibilities of taking a view at my life. now the fat is in the fire! let's spill the beans!

www.dafuge.com goes online! although last.fm and myspace hosted the artist page for months now it was time to change to my own webspace with less limitations and more capabilities in representing the artists work. nevertheless last.fm and myspace will be updated frequently.
